With access points that steer clients to the best band and channel, we encourage attendees to take advantage of the NANOG 76 best-in-class wireless network.

We provide dual stack IPv4/IPv6 wireless coverage 24/7 in meeting rooms, foyers, and open seating areas. Public areas are covered using a best-effort approach, based on physical access and infrastructure. There are NANOG DNS servers offering DNSSEC capability. No NAT, translation, or capture technologies are in use.

Wireless SSIDs

NANOG: 802.1X secured (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz).
User: nanog
Pass: nanog

NANOG-Legacy: An open, unencrypted network (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz).

The legacy SSID is provided as a courtesy in case of technical difficulties in joining the NANOG 76 network.

When connecting for the first time, you may receive a notification that a valid certificate for auth.meetings.nanog.org is being presented as part of the 802.1x authentication. It’s safe to accept and continue, as long as you’re presented with a valid cert for auth.meetings.nanog.org.

Hotel Wireless

Attendees staying in the NANOG room block at the Renaissance Washington DC, may enjoy free access to the hotel WiFi throughout their stay. Contact the hotel front desk for details and for support.
