Theme: Put your sleuthing skills to the test!

The NANOG 91 Hackathon will focus on Problem-Solving/Troubleshooting competitions.

During this Hackathon, teams will collaborate to solve a series of network engineering/operations and automation challenges.

Scoring will be based on achieving or restoring network reachability in the scenarios, and how fast you solve the problems. Prizes will be provided to the top finishers.

Utilizing collaboration services from Zoom and Slack and lab infrastructure consisting of virtualized devices from several vendors, Hackathon participants can work individually or self-organize into teams to work on the problems provided or software passion projects.

For this Hackathon, we will have virtual routers running inside AWS hosts via Containerlab. A mix of containerized routers and end hosts will be available.. Whatever your skill and experience is, there will be something to work and learn with! For those who want to work on a package for a particular distribution a VM with popular distributions will be available within AWS.

Collaborate via Slack

Before the Hackathon, you’ll receive an invitation to our Slack workspace so you can start meeting everyone right away. Please take a moment to review the Hackathon Terms and Conditions before attending the event. If you’d like to participate but aren’t sure where to start, please contact us at: [email protected]. Hackathon leadership will be provided throughout the event.
