NANOG Program Committee
The Program Committee is a group of individuals from the NANOG community who together are responsible for the solicitation and selection of material for NANOG meeting programs. The Board of Directors will select new Program Committee members at NANOG 78 in February 2020.
Broad technical knowledge of Internet operations and familiarity with NANOG meetings are useful attributes. Having constructive opinions and ideas about how NANOG meetings might be improved is of high value. A willingness to recruit presentations for each meeting is required. Program Committee members are expected to volunteer a minimum of one hour per week in the 12 weeks leading up to a meeting, and an additional 24 hours all year round.
All candidates will be notified of their nomination and will be asked to accept or decline the nomination. If accepted, they will be asked to complete an online questionnaire and their Declaration of Candidacy. The Board of Directors will appoint Program Committee Members on Wednesday, February 12, 2020. All nominations and candidate questions must be submitted by 9:00PM PST on February 11, 2020 in order to be considered for appointment to the committee by the Board of Directors.

Why stand for a committee?
If you care about NANOG and think that you would like to take a turn at volunteering your time to help make it better, please consider joining as a member and taking part in the nomination process. If you know someone else that you believe would be interested, nominate them by February 11, 2020. Any questions should be submitted to [email protected].
As NANOG continues to evolve, our Board of Directors and Committees will continue to play an increasingly important role in our success. From time to time the Board appoints members to ad-hoc committees. By joining now, you can be an integral part of the process.
